It was different and we missed the personal care that Hai had provided in the north, but it was still enjoyable. Then the agency helped us explore Hue where we learned some of the history of Vietnam and the region.

We had a short stay in Hoi An where we enjoyed snorkeling and diving the Cham Islands that was coordinated by the agency, followed by some free time in Old Town which was absolutely amazing. He took us to some wonderful locations and even a few hidden gems, it was truly awe inspiring some of the views (incredible rainbows, hidden waterfalls where only locals went, some really yummy meals, etc). The key for us was communication and being open and honest about how we felt and what we needed. He even started making us his own special dipping sauce at meals that we became addicted to, it was so yummy. Our Guide, Hai, was very kind and helpful, always asking us how we were doing and making sure we were well hydrated (it was extremely hot and humid at times or too high an elevation) or willing to answer our questions, doing his best to make the trip enjoyable and very memorable.
Most of our trip was in the north exploring and hiking the beautiful mountains bordering China and visiting and even staying with some of the villages. Throughout the trip Helen was just a message away in case we needed anything. She especially helped when another member of our party had issues with her flights, she stayed in touch with her and ensured we all were picked up and safely made it into the care of our guide so that we could kick off our trip. Whether it was to help with the logistics, hotels, flights, getting us SIM cards so we could stay in touch with family, how we could do laundry, she provided answers/help. We're usually stressed with planning trips but with Helen, it was so much easier and I could put my mind at ease that everything had been coordinated. In addition, Helen worked closely and diligently with us to create an itinerary that we wanted. Helen helped get us an Approval Letter and to ensure that my sister had no issues with getting a Visa when she arrived at the airport. One member of our party required a Visa and we needed help with coordinating since our consulate was not processing any Visas when I found Mr Linh's Adventure. We were 3 women wanting to enjoy an off the beaten track girl's trip. We had a customized tour for 12 days/11 nights with Mr Linh's Adventure.
